I am currently working at upjers GmbH as a game designer in mobile games and f2p. My main tasks are conceptualizing new games and features, balancing, evaluating statistics, supporting games after release with new features, UI/UX design, testing, prototyping, writing, documentation and project management.

Molehillempire 2 (2018-now)

Molehillempire 2 is an economic simulation for the mobile market. The predecessor is still a classic browser game. During the implementation I took special care to preserve the character and the unique gameplay of the predecessor. At the same time, I adapted existing mechanics to the new mobile platform when it seemed necessary. In this way, I and my team managed to bring a game loved by fans to the mobile market and even improve it. My tasks range from the conception of the game, to the design of new features, to supporting the game after release and analyses of post release statistics.

Keep Trying – Zombie Apocalypse (2021)

I’m currently working with a team on a PC project that is called „Keep Trying – Zombie Apocalypse“. It is a third person shooter with the abilty to play it with your community on Twitch.

While the streamer tries to survive a zombie apocalypse, his viewers can send him helpful items via chat command. It is also possible to make life difficult for the player and spawn more zombies. The game is oriented towards a „rouge like“ gameplay. The levels are structured like a tube and have to be crossed one after the other. If the player dies, he starts again in the first level. Experience points earned can be invested in the character’s abilities, for example, to have more health points or to be able to cause more damage to enemies. My tasks at this projects are level design, balancing and conception of mechanics and features/weapons and enemies an their behaviors. The project is developed in Unity3D.

Red Tractor Tycoon (2018)

Red Tractor Tycoon is one of the few full-price titles from upjers and is kind of a sandbox game. It is currently in Early Access and available on Steam. The player can grow crops, breed animals and process them into new products in a quiet environment. Crops are grown and transported using the player’s namesake red tractor. Over time, the player unlocks more tools and products. The game is designed in such a way that the player can operate in a calm environment without much pressure. My tasks were, among others, the conception of some mechanics and features of the game, as well as parts of the balancing and the UIs.

Canceled VR Project (2019)

I have been working on an unreleased vr project. The player was supposed to find randomly distributed items in a diving game. The player should find as many items as possible in a time limit. After the limit he got money for the found items, with which he could upgrade his equipment.
Here my tasks were game design and level design. The project was developed with Unity3D. The project was planned for Google’s Day Dream platform. When Google discontinued the platform, the vr project was also cancelled.

Idle Gaming Industry (2018)

Idle Gaming Industry is an idle game in which the player manages a software company that produces games. The task is to successfully earn more money and upgrade his company more and more. My tasks ranged from conceptualizing and balancing new features, to planning the UIs and supporting the game after release.
